It was lovely to visit Mayes Park Farm on Thursday last week to discuss their exciting rewilding plans. They are working with Sussex Wildlife Trust to deliver improved biodiversity and it will be great to see how this rolls out.
It’s been a busy 48 hours for Defence. As Chairman of the Defence Select Committee I have been keenly pushing the Committee’s report “Ready for War” which advocates improved readiness in our Armed Forces to keep us safe, deter aggression and reduce the risk of conflict.
I met the Aviation Minister, Anthony Browne, yesterday in particular to discuss FASIS (the future airspace strategy). It is incredibly important that this is consulted on thoroughly and with an open mind.
On Friday I met Lloyds Clinical Homecare at their mobile health centre in Broadbridge Heath. It was good to learn more about the scheme which is delivered in partnership with the NHS and allows some Royal Surrey Hospital patients to receive anti-cancer treatments closer to home.
It was great to visit Greenway Junior School last week and I welcome the positive changes the school have made since joining GLF Schools in September 2022.
I had a wonderful time speaking (on a non-party political basis) at the Woman's Institute in the URC Springfield Road last week! It was a pleasure to share insights into life in politics and what it's like being an MP.
I am aware that a number of constituents in Billingshurst and the surrounding area have received letters from Companies House informing them that businesses have registered at their home address. These apparently have no connection to the occupiers.
